First time in Kumanovo.

The brief

International Jazz Day is a global celebration of jazz as an art form of great cultural and historical value. In April 2026, for the first time in Kumanovo, a concert brought dozens of musicians together on one stage to share a single musical experience.

The event was organised by the Foundation for Culture and Sport “Kumanovo”, under the patronage of the mayor and the council of the Municipality of Kumanovo. The poster had to invite the whole city to Zanaetchiski Dom on 30 April at 19:30.

The idea

A first jazz night for a whole city needed a poster that felt like an event, not just an announcement. So the building on it is the venue itself: Zanaetchiski Dom, the 1930 landmark of Kumanovo. On the poster it becomes a stage: a trumpet and a long silver baton cross its facade, a piano keyboard unrolls into a staircase, and a striped ribbon of keys flows out of the windows under a big yellow sun.

Blue and yellow carry the whole poster. The information sits in two clear blocks at the bottom: the name of the event in a blue panel, then the day, date, time and venue on a single yellow line, so the artwork leads and the details are easy to find.
